Delaware Municipal Court

Description

The Municipal Court hears the vast majority of misdemeanor criminal charges in Delaware County.

Smaller jurisdictions, including municipalities with a Mayor's Court, may choose not to send misdemeanor cases to the Municipal Court and instead keep the cases in their own Mayor's Court.  You have the right to move your case to the Municipal Court if a municipality chooses to do so.

A case heard in the Delaware County Municipal Court begins with a first court date which is noted on your ticket or citation. At this first court date a Defendant enters a "guilty", "not guilty", or "no contest" plea, or requests a continuance if they wish to get more time to retain an attorney.

Cases in the Delaware County Municipal Court from drug possession to OVI are charges that Attorney Brandon Shroy has successfully defended daily for the last 12 years.  Put his expertise to work for you.  Call (614) 601-1456 for a free and easy consultation.
