Tarek Chami is a Senior Associate at Consumer Attorneys. Tarek previously acted as Of Counsel for a national consumer protection law firm where he handled hundreds of consumer protection cases.
Tarek received his B.A. in Finance and Management from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2005 and graduated from Toledo Law School in 2012. Tarek is an active member of the Michigan and Metro Detroit legal community where he was born and raised.
After graduating law school, Tarek started his own firm where he handled a variety of legal matters. In 2017, Tarek began to focus his legal work on consumer protection matters. Tarek has brought hundreds of cases against large financial institutions for their unlawful debt collection practices and credit reporting errors under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and Fair Credit Reporting Act.
